This article is published in full at Catholic Answers Magazine. It’s long been a hot topic to discuss the similarities and differences between men and women—with little apparent agreement as to what are or are not universally recognized similarities and differences. But the “battle of the sexes” is miscast. The real issue, so often overlooked, is that men and women are equally human, yet not interchangeable.

I have no argument with that, and there's nothing I have said that contradicts it. But, God's love is made manifest, and dwells in, human relationships.
My original post was a reflection on Sarah's article dealing specifically with the nature of men and women, their differences, and their relationship to each other. It alludes to the infinite nature of God, the finite nature of Man, and Man's capacity, from God, to grow in wisdom and love and happiness to eternity. And the highest reflection, or manifestation, or image of God (and God's love) is the spiritual union of a man and woman. And in that image of God, is also the greatest joy.

The two are not mutually exclusive. God created us to live in association with one another, so that He might dwell together with us.
