Thanks for the thoughtful response. It is so easy to misunderstand the written word. I wasn't referring in my original comment to any earthly beloved, but to ones beloved in heaven.

The two are not mutually exclusive. God created us to live in association with one another, so that He might dwell together with us.

I have no argument with that, and there's nothing I have said that contradicts it. But, God's love is made manifest, and dwells in, human relationships.

My original post was a reflection on Sarah's article dealing specifically with the nature of men and women, their differences, and their relationship to each other. It alludes to the infinite nature of God, the finite nature of Man, and Man's capacity, from God, to grow in wisdom and love and happiness to eternity. And the highest reflection, or manifestation, or image of God (and God's love) is the spiritual union of a man and woman. And in that image of God, is also the greatest joy.
