When productivity becomes the enemy, people scale back their production. Everyone loses what could have been.

One of your best Sarah. This proliferation of weakness brought on by measured means is likened to burning pieces of one's own ship in order to stay comfortable and warm.

What you say is perfectly correct.

I would just like to tag on to what you have expressed. The created indignation is very deliberate to create dysfunction and disorder, divide and rule, by the New world Order , Deep State call it what you will. It is all part of Cultural Marxism indoctrination within the Western World.

Excellenr article, Sarah. In the past 5 decades some women have been trying to equate themselves equal to men. There have been pop culture songs with lyrics like"I am woman, hear me roar" or "Anything a man can do, I can do better" and more. Women have managed to infiltrate the ranks of the military and get into combat positions. Something that used to be unheard of. God's Plan or Natural Law is being ignored. For ages women have been recognised as vessels of life since they alone can bear children. Women used to respected and protected for that very reason. Now our society has degenerated to the point where women claim to be men and men claim to be women. They mutilate their bodies and take hormones to achieve that ambition. If they are ridiculed or denied they claim victimhood. Many in today's society have forgotten to put God first and obey His Will. Is it any wonder why our society is in such a mess?

Great article, Sarah. It should get many of us thinking. Thank You!

". . . , else they lose their parasitic source of power, and the excuse for their own unproductivity." A powerful observation. Your last paragraph is a bullseye. Yet, I can see the Pharisees stoppling their ears.

Interesting treatise. From my perspective, we have allowed our world to denigrate into the cesspool over things that “offended” women. I have grown weary of opening doors for women, as it usually ends in a berating. Same with assisting with heavy items being loaded into a vehicle. Civility is a thing of the past, ground into nothingness, as a result of some thinking they can do without men. At this point I am quite done with the insanity, I ask the good Lord to end it for me, so they will have one less man to contend with in life.

The man who expressed he was indignant “on behalf of women” because of what is probably another excellent work by Anthony Esolen defending Western civilization from collapse, seems to have been exercising the male instinct to defend the damsel in distress -- albeit misplaced and wholly imaginary or delusional in this case. Our enemies have engaged in this kind of psychological manipulation for a long time now where we see men (like this fellow) being duped into alienating themselves from their very identity - to the detriment of both sexes. Somehow forgetting that the civilization provided is extremely comfortable for women. Someone ought to tell these fellows that the overwhelming majority of women including large swaths of the feminist spectrum prefer strong, confident, self-sufficient men who have perfected their game - not placating doters, but providers and protectors.

No doubt Esolen has documented and explained what a fine, special, and unique civilization the work and contributions of countless virtuous, strong, self-sacrificing men have bequeathed upon us all - women and men. The temptation is to take it for granted, not realizing its comparative value, and as you say Sarah, pretending this fact somehow takes away from the countless, virtuous contributions of women to our civilization - in other words being conned out of our own unique and good heritage. Literally the heritage of our fathers.

Manipulative, mass, psychological warfare indeed cause these non sequiturs to gain currency. A little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough. The prescription is to wake up, be smart, and call it what it is; Virtue by association, indignation-by-proxy are good descriptives for the phenomenon described. Faulty virtue signaling comes to mind. Use false notions like this one as an exercise in logic, pointing out and even laughing at their irrationality and yes even explaining their catastrophic end result - to the point where thinking people know better than to buy into them. We essentially need to brand them, totally uncool.
