There is beauty in the ceremonies and symbolism that are associated with monarchy, which appeals deeply to many. We are too often exposed only to minimalist and utilitarian displays, leaving us thirsting for something more. Yet the faith being shown at the coronation was founded on the blood of martyrs, and the king of England only serves in rejection of the true King who reigns above us all.

I feel similarly when I see something like secular oath ceremonies performed by people who don't believe in truth, or awards ceremonies that we all know have nothing to do with merit.
It would not be asking too much for the official Head of the Church of England to favor the Christian faith. That would seem to be a necessary aspect of Charles' new position as King. Charles, however, has said that he does not want to be known as the Defender of the Faith; instead, he would prefer to known as the defender of faiths. Of course, I have no objection to the new King of England taking religious liberty seriously and pledging to defend that liberty for all British subjects. That would not conflict with his position as Head of the Church or the Royal Head of State. His assistance in this regard could prove useful. After all, we seem to be having some trouble with the governments respect for religious liberty at the moment with people being arrested for simply silently praying in public. But I must confess that I don't think that King Charles will be of much use in defending the right of citizens to pray silently in public places. Consequently, I am pleased, despite what English tradition might dictate, that Christ is the real head of the Church. Despite what has happened to the Church of England in departing from the faith over the years, Charles has no ability to usurp Christ's position. For that we may be truly thankful.

I see there are 28 Anglican Bishops in the House of Lords, no Catholics. They've started to get rather "speechy" as of late, those Lords Ecclesiastical. Coincidentally hitting upon many a topic dear to King Charles's heart. Charles has been a problem for many years. Remember the "spider letters?" He has been sticking his nose into politics for ages and has no intention of stopping. Now the Anglican Bishops will have something to do in the Lords.
As an American 🇺🇸… didn’t know that it happened and didn’t care. I do feel sad for the WASP’s that still live there. I do watch British soap opera’s and mini-series as a curiosity. With such a fine mind as you have, able to parse logic as I have witnessed you do, I never cease to be amazed how catholicism has mesmerized you under its spell. While there were some catholic martyrs in England, the numbers pale next to the millions the catholic church saw to being killed during the hundreds of years of their inquisition. They are responsible for that long, sad period of time being called the Dark Ages.
I would urge you to take your very sharp mind and investigate the protestant reformation. Those men actually opened and studied their Bibles, especially Daniel and Revelation, and clearly saw the catholic church was the beast/antichrist, and is now. The prophecies are so clear, I would wish you would research it the way you research so many other things you write about.

As long-time members of the FSSP (Fraternitas Sacerdotalis Sancti Petri or Fraternity of St. Peter) the center of our charism is our faithful celebration of the traditional Latin Mass and Sacraments (Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite). I can tell you firsthand that (unlike the mainstream Novus Ordo Church) our seminaries and parishes are booming.
